Privacy policy

Updated October 31, 2026. This policy describes the current operation of Insta Transcript Kit.

What is processed

Submitting the tool sends the public Instagram URL to our Cloudflare-hosted service. Cloudflare Browser Run opens the public post; a private Worker retrieves its audio into memory and Cloudflare Workers AI generates the transcript. This is cloud processing, not browser-only transcription. It does not run a resolver on the site operator's desktop.

We do not deliberately store submitted URLs, media or transcripts in application storage. Media and page content are processed in memory for the request. We do not maintain a transcript history, user account, or searchable transcript library. The visible transcript is cleared by reloading or closing the page; downloaded TXT files remain on your own device.

Limits and network data

The service uses a salted hash derived from the connection IP for per-visitor rate limits. Current-day counters and these hashes are kept in a Cloudflare Durable Object. The first request on a new UTC day replaces the previous day's counters; the last counters may remain until another request arrives. We do not intentionally write the full IP address, URL or transcript to an application access log. Cloudflare and Instagram may process network, security and service metadata under their own policies.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We do not install analytics, advertising trackers, affiliate tracking or optional cookies. We may add third-party advertising or affiliate links in the future; this policy and any legally required consent controls would need updating before those features are enabled.

Contact messages

Messages sent to our contact address are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to the operator's Gmail inbox and handled to answer your request. Do not send passwords, private cookies, payment details or identity documents.

Your choices

Do not submit private, confidential or unauthorized content. You can stop using the tool without creating an account. Closing this page does not delete a TXT file you downloaded. Contact the operator through the contact page about privacy questions.
